United drew 1-1 with Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Alex Seymour posted his player ratings on the final whistle…
David de Gea – 7
Produced a decent double save to keep the game at 0-0 in the first half, and he certainly wasn’t to blame for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s equaliser.
Axel Tuanzebe – 5
Came in for Aaron Wan-Bissaka who missed out because of tonsilitis. The academy graduate impressed as captain in the Carabao Cup last week but a momentary lapse in concentration gifted Aubameyang his goal.
Victor Lindelöf – 6
Calm in possession and looked solid alongside Harry Maguire. Could do very little about Arsenal’s goal.
Harry Maguire – 7
United’s best defender. Led by example from the first minute and caused problems in the attacking third.
Ashley Young – 6
Showed leadership when he could. Did get caught out one or two times though.
Scott McTominay – 8
Good in defence, great in attack. McTominay was in the right place at the right time whenever and wherever he popped up.
Paul Pogba – 6
Produced some exciting moments and one particular ball to Marcus Rashford from deep, sticks in the memory. The midfielder clearly isn’t 100% fit.
Andreas Pereira – 5
Created a wonderful moment for himself in the first half, but that was pretty much it. Still trying to work out what type of midfielder he is.
Jesse Lingard – 5
Improved on his recent form and looked disappointed to be subbed. In hindsight, it was probably the right decision.
Dan James – 7
It’s always exciting to see him attacking and his run in the 42nd minute eventually led to United’s opener.
Marcus Rashford – 6
Recovered from injury to start, and did well to pick McTominay out for his goal. Never looks comfortable in one-on-one situations.
Fred (Lingard) – 5
Got involved when he came on but similar to Pereira in that it’s hard to pinpoint his best position.
Mason Greenwood (Pereira) – 5
Tried to get involved when could, and had one attempt from just outside the box.
